Prior to forming Fayth Hospitality with Randy, Greg was the co-lead of the Goldman Sachs select service hospitality platform for 11 years. The select service platform was once comprised of 350 hotels with an aggregate investment of over $5 billion.
Prior to Goldman, Greg was the CFO of The Rendina Companies and Builder Financial Group. Rendina Companies is a private developer of office, retail, residential and medical office properties. Rendina Companies' core business is the design, development, financing, leasing and management of medical office real estate. Builder Financial was a specialty lending platform to residential home builders in the Southeast.
Prior to this, Greg was the Chief Accounting and Administrative Officer of Innkeepers USA Trust. Innkeepers was a hotel real estate investment trust (REIT) listed on the NYSE.
For nearly 12 years prior to joining Innkeepers, Greg held various positions in the audit practice of Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, where he served as a Senior Manager and was a member of the firm’s Hospitality and Real Estate practice.
Prior to forming Fayth Hospitality with Greg, Randy was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Education Realty Trust (NYSE:EDR) from 2010 through November 2018. EDR develops, owns and manages student housing in the United States and was sold in September 2018 for $4.6 billion. During Randy’s almost 9-year tenure, EDR’s shareholders achieved a total shareholder return of 293%, ranking in the top 10% of all U.S. equity REITs. In 2008, Randy was interim chief executive officer of Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., a publicly traded family entertainment company (NASDAQ: WOLF) and was a member of its board from 2005 until its sale in 2012. He was president and chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Golden Horizons, the nation’s second largest senior care company, from 2006 to 2007. From 2004 until its sale in 2008, Randy served on the board of trustees of Innkeepers USA Trust. He served as president, chief operating officer and director of RFS Hotel Investors, Inc., a publicly traded hotel real estate investment trust (NYSE: RFS), from 1999 until its sale in 2003. From 1997 to 1999, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of FelCor Lodging Trust, Inc., a NYSE-listed hotel real estate investment trust (NYSE: FCH).
Prior to joining Fayth Hospitality, Jim led the third-party management division of Fusion Hospitality overseeing sales, operations, and human resources for managed hospitality and food and beverage assets. Jim oversaw the recent opening of the Tru by Hilton in Mobile, Alabama, the acquisition of the Residence Inn in Jackson, Tennessee, and the opening of the Hilton Garden Inn in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Jim also assisted in operations of Fusion’s portfolio of seventeen owned and managed hotels. Prior to joining Fusion, Jim managed a successful merger between Wilson Hotel Management and Valor Hospitality Partners and assumed the position of Regional Operations Director responsible for multiple brands and hotels. At Wilson Hotel Management (1986-2017), Jim had responsibility for all aspects of the Wilson Family’s hotel portfolio, including a variety of branded properties such as Embassy Suites by Hilton, Holiday Inn and Suites, and Holiday Inn Express and Suites. Additionally, Jim was responsible for the development, operations, financial performance, and relationship building for non-branded properties.
